About the artist

Ellis

I started Disco Bug Art in 2021 at Penn State University, where I got a B.S in Art Education.

I started creating jewelry, magnets, and small sewn items before I discovered the magic of patchwork art.

Since then I have relocated to MA, NYC, and finally settled down in New Jersey, where I have crafted a sewing studio in my apartment.

Where I create

My lovely sewing studio. I use a Brother Project Runway sewing machine that I got as a present in 2012. This sewing machine has been with me from the start; however I am saving up for a Bernina machine to create bigger and more detailed projects in the future.

Why I sew

The beauty of selling my work:

There is nothing quite like knowing that people around the world are wearing and treasuring the pieces you've created. Every design I make is one of a kind, and it means everything to see each piece find its home with someone who loves it. Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
